Popular Pennsylvania-based health-conscious kosher eatery is slated to open in April.

Midtown is getting a dining option that won’t put neighboring office workers in a food coma after their lunch breaks.

Vgë Café has announced on its website and Atlanta location Facebook page that the inaugural Atlanta outpost for the restaurant will be located at Colony Square, in suite 518.

The popular kosher eatery based in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, is a casual “pure vegetarian” restaurant for the health-conscious crowd. Vgë Café also boasts everything on the menu being under 550 calories.

Menu options will include soups, sandwiches and salads – all which are prepared fresh on the premises with no added oils or sugars.

  • Just an FYI, their Kosher Supervision in the Philadelphia location is not one that is considered 100% reliable. Most of the kosher eating community would not eat there. Hopefully, in Atlanta, they will use the Atlanta Kashrus Commission so that everyone who keeps kosher will be comfortable eating there.

  • Our Bryn Mawr location is certified Kosher by International Kosher Council – IKC. This Hechsher is an Orthodox organization based on New York and Philly and they follow all principles of Kashrut; they have significant expertise with Pareve, working with many vegan restaurants in the northeast. We are conscious that there are over 100 certifying agencies in the USA, and that hardly any is universally recognized by all synagogues and communities. The Atlanta location is not yet certified Kosher.
