Condesa Coffee has officially ceased operations at its original downtown storefront.

The coffee shop’s last day in business, at 145 Auburn Ave. NE, was December 13.

“Our Auburn location has closed today,” Condessa Coffee posted to its Facebook page on Friday.

“Looking forward to serving you in Old Fourth Ward for many years to come.”

The closure was planned and first announced in November.

Refuge Coffee Co., a Clarkston-based non-profit organization and coffee shop offering employment, mentorship and job training to refugees resettled in Georgia, is taking Condesa Coffee’s place.

Refuge will open its doors in January 2020 in the Daily World Building space.

An outpost of Condesa Coffee remains open in Old Fourth Ward.
