UPDATE (August 30, 2018): Rotisserie Franchise Cowboy Chicken To Open First Georgia Location Sept. 3

A new concept is riding into town.

Francisee Van Jakes of Jakes Management 22 Company plans to bring Dallas chain restaurant company Cowboy Chicken to Atlanta, according to RestaurantNews.com.

The five-unit agreement will expand the restaurant to the city and a few other surrounding locations.

Cowboy Chicken is has been around for 35 years with 18 locations in Dallas.

The restaurant will turn up the heat on other “all-natural” concepts in the area by cooking such chicken over a wood-fire grill.

Guests may expect rotisserie chicken along with the Cowboy Chicken’s signature sour-cream-tomatillo enchiladas. Also, the eatery promises Georgia “abundant” home-style sides, in true Dallas form (Babe’s Chicken, anyone?).

Jakes is a retired member of the National Football League (NFL) who has been in the hospitality industry for over 24 years.
