UPDATE (December 18, 2018): It’s Official: Cowtippers Is Closing For Good December 27

It looks like Cowtippers isn’t closing after all.

Parent company Metrotainment Cafés earlier this year announced it would shutter the honky-tonk steakhouse for good January 28, after 25 years in business.

February 18 came and the restaurant is still open.

“The outpouring of support continued here at Cowtippers and we decided to continue to keep our doors open for the foreseeable future,” a spokesperson Wednesday told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a prepared statement.

A WNA tipster who dined at the restaurant over the weekend was told by staff not only is the restaurant staying open but will soon undergo an overhaul.

The spokesperson did not comment on renovation plans.
