Changes are afoot for D Boca N Boca, a Mexican restaurant in the Summerhill neighborhood.

After a sale facilitated by Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, David Nelson and John Murphy will manage and expand the restaurant. Nelson and Murphy are principals at Carter, a real estate investment and development firm in Atlanta. Helio Bernal will remain on board as executive chef and culinary director.

The 2,900-square-foot restaurant is located at 39 Georgia Avenue SE. D Boca N Boca opened in 2022, serving authentic Mexican dishes. The concept first began as a mobile food cart known as “The Real Mexican Vittles.”

Summerhill is located just south of Downtown Atlanta.
