Dale Murphy, a former Major League Baseball star who got his start with the Atlanta Braves in 1976, has plans to open Murph’s near SunTrust Park.

The restaurant, at 1 Galleria Pkwy SE, will replace Buckhead Pizza Co. in the Cobb Galleria Centre, according to the Murph’s website.

Matt Helms, one of the partners at Murph’s, confirmed the news Wednesday in an email to What Now Atlanta, but did not immediately furnish additional details around the concept.

“We’re getting close,” Helms said.

Expect “legendary food inspired by a legendary career” starting in June, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
