Dash and Chutney Brings Vegan Indian to Chattahoochee Food Works Aug. 22

Chef Palak Patel, an established chef who has been featured on Food Network, is set to open Dash & Chutney at Chattahoochee Food Works on Aug. 22.

This plant-based Indian street food restaurant joins more than a dozen other vendors at the 25,000 square-foot food hall at the heart of Atlanta’s Upper Westside, located at 1235 Chattahoochee Ave, Suite 130. Chef Patel has been featured on Chopped & Beat Bobby Flay, as well as being a finalist on Food Network Star and a guest judge on the new show Money Hungry.

 “I want to share my culture and childhood memories with Atlanta and help them discover how plant-based eating is not only delicious and good for you, but also good for the planet,” Patel said in an interview with What Now Atlanta. “I hope guests come to Dash & Chutney and leave having learned or tried something new – and ultimately, for my business to continue giving back to the local community. We are working with Zero Footprint (ZFP), a nonprofit organization that provides local farmers grants to create healthy soil and renewable farming practices.”

Patel moved to Atlanta at the age of 12 and completed her chef training at the French Culinary Institute in New York. Dash & Chutney’s menu highlights include Mumbai grilled cheese, Indian nachos known as sev papdi chaat, a pea falafel and chopped salad known as the goddess bowl, charred corn, and a savory Indian muffin with lentils, known as hanvo.
