Duck Donuts Franchising Company, a brand known for its made-to-order doughnuts, today announced its first Atlanta franchise (second in Georgia) will open its doors Saturday, October 7.

André Walters is the franchisee opening the store in the Tuxedo Festival Shopping Center, at 3655 Roswell Road.

“We’re extremely excited to be able to bring Duck Donuts to Buckhead and the Atlanta community,” Walters in a press release said.

“…The moment I tasted Duck Donuts, I knew I wanted to be a part of this donut phenomenon.”

The 1,400-square-foot retail store reflects the franchise’s beach theme and family-friendly atmosphere.

In addition to donuts, the Buckhead location also serves Duck Donuts’ coffee blends. Guests can also order espresso, tea, donut sundaes, OBX Breakfast Sandwich, select retail items and more.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with The Buckhead Business Association will take place Friday, October 6 at 2 p.m. The store is hosting a grand opening celebration for the public Saturday, October 7, from Noon until 4 p.m.

The event will feature Firemen and a Firetruck from the Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department, free face painting, balloon twisting, a stilt walker, merchandise giveaways and a raffle to win free donuts for a year.

Donuts at this location are made to order seven days a week, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
