Emerald City Bagels Wednesday morning quietly opened its highly-anticipated brick and mortar store in the East Atlanta Village (EAV).

“Pssst,” the bagel shop Tuesday night posted on its Facebook page.

“We’ll be open at 6 a.m. [Wednesday].”

The Emerald City Bagels storefront has been a year-and-a-half in the making. What Now Atlanta first broke the news of the bagel purveyors’ plans for a brick-and-mortar in June 2016.

The space at 1257 Glenwood Ave. SE was foremrly home to Gravity Pub and is part of Paces Properties’ 20,000-square-foot redevelopment project along Glenwood Avenue.

An official grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting is scheduled for Saturday, February 3.

In the meantime, a limited menu will be available including the company’s popular NY-style bagels and egg creams (carbonated milk).
