ENZO Steakhouse & Bar is planning its first expansion, co-owner and chef Andrea Montobbio told What Now Atlanta. Though an exact address is still forthcoming, the new location for the Fayetteville-based Italian steakhouse will be in Atlanta. It will open next summer.
Montobbio opened ENZO in 2022 at the Town at Trilith alongside his business partner David Gibbs.
ENZO Steakhouse serves appetizers such as smoked salmon rillette and steamed mussels, pasta, risotto, and protein-driven dishes such as rack of lamb and rotisserie chicken. The wood-fired steak lineup includes porterhouse, dry-aged tomahawk and A5 Japanese Wagyu steaks. For the beverage program, there are signature cocktails and a wine selection.
Montobbio has extensive experience in steakhouses, including STK, where he worked for about a decade. He emphasizes hospitality in his concepts, which he views as particularly vital amid a restaurant industry marred by rising prices, automation and robotic service, and frequent restaurant closures.
“I’ve been a chef all my life, and I can pivot and I can search for what ingredients are out there that can still keep these high-quality dishes,” Montobbio said. “You have to be able to be flexible that way. In the United States, where hospitality is kind of fading away, there’s more and more casual dining versus fine dining, and I feel like we are casual dining with fine-dining hospitality.”
Additional details about the second ENZO location are expected to be released as the opening grows closer.
Montobbio and Gibbs are also planning a new Italian restaurant slated to open in the spring.
