Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão is looking to expand with another location in the Atlanta market. The brand is aiming to bring an approximately 8,000-square-foot restaurant to Cumberland Mall, according to Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta.
This location is slated to be the fourth in the Atlanta area. Currently, Fogo de Chão has spots in Buckhead and Dunwoody. Another location is planned for Buford.
Founded in 1979 in Porto Alegre in Brazil, Fogo de Chão utilizes the culinary art of churrasco burning. The brand ventured into the U.S. market in 1997, opening in Dallas. Now, the brand has more than 70 locations.
The menu features meat cuts and seafood like bone-in ribeye, filet mignon, bacon-wrapped steak, chicken, lamb chops, pork, smoked salmon, lobster and Chilean sea bass. Other entrees include seared tofu with sesame black bean pasta, pan-seared salmon and cauliflower steak. Fogo de Chão also serves the Market Table, which features a seasonal plate of ingredients inspired by Brazilian farmlands and recipes.
As of now, an opening timeline remains unclear for the location at Cumberland Mall. It is still in the early stages of development.
