A Florida-based coffee chain is brewing more locations in the Peach State.

Foxtail Coffee Co. is planned for 285 Mayson Avenue NE, according to a recent building permit application. The 1,637-square-foot coffee shop will be located at the Hanover Edgewood apartment building, on the east side of Atlanta.

This won’t be the first Foxtail Coffee Co. located at a Hanover apartment; the coffee franchise also has a location at Hanover Midtown at 1230 W Peachtree Street NW.

The upcoming location comes from John Wylie, an experienced Foxtail Coffee Co. franchisee who has also operated locations in Newnan and Peachtree City. He told What Now Atlanta they are targeting a September 2025 opening for the Edgewood shop.

Wylie has several other Foxtail Coffee Co. locations in the works, including one at the Society Atlanta apartment tower in Midtown and another one in Downtown Newnan at 12 Jackson Street, which is expected to open in August.

Foxtail Coffee Co. was founded in 2016 in Winter Park, Florida, and has since grown to more than 70 locations – some corporate-owned, some franchised. While most are in Florida, the chain has also expanded to North Carolina, Michigan, Nevada and Virginia. In addition to Wylie’s locations, Foxtail Coffee Co. has Georgia outposts in Buckhead, Athens and Savannah.

The brand has been built on a commitment to sustainably sourced coffee. The menu includes a range of signature and seasonal coffee beverages (including the current Candied Turmeric and Golden Hour lattes), cold brew and iced tea, as well as pastries, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The shops are known for having a rustic, comfortable interior.
