Restaurant plans to reopen nearby.

UPDATE (August 18, 2014): Owner of Murphy’s in Virginia-Highland Opening Second Restaurant After 34 Years.

Metrotainment Cafes closed one of its restaurants over the holiday weekend.

Garrison’s Broiler & Tap shuttered in Vinings, at 4300 Paces Ferry Rd., July 4. The restaurant’s website has since been forwarded to the MetroCafes domain, and its telephone has been disconnected.

Brad Troxel, a friend of the restaurant on Facebook, inquired about Garrison’s closing in a post on the social media site Friday.

“Closed? Opening a new location in Vinings? Hello, Metrotainment? Hello?,” Troxel posted.

“We will reopen in the area in a few weeks,” according to a response from Garrison’s. “We will send out information so that everyone knows where we are.”

A What Now Atlanta insider confirmed signage on the restaurant’s front door announces Garrison’s closure.

Metrotainment was not immediately available for comment.
