Glide Pizza is bringing its 20-inch pies and slices to a new location. Earlier this month, the pizza brand announced that it would be ending their stint inside Inner Voice Brewing in Decatur, where it first set up shop in 2022.

“We’ve all been very grateful for this partnership and opportunity to work alongside one another, while looking forward to the future growth of two of the tastiest spots in Decatur and ATL,” the joint Instagram announcement from Inner Voice Brewing and Glide Pizza stated.

Glide Pizza concluded their run at Inner Voice Brewing on June 13. However, it also hinted at a new expansion in the works.

“As we evolve we’ve got some new things on deck these next 12 months which will be the most expansive, transitional and thrilling times in the company’s history,” Glide Pizza stated in an Instagram post. “All the love in the world goes to our awesome staff who show up every day ready to prep, plan and pie for you.”

It has now been revealed that the pizza spot will move to a nearby 3,800-square-foot space in Decatur at 254 West Ponce de Leon Avenue, with plans to open later this year, according to reporting by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta. The spot was previously home to Chando’s Tacos.

Glide Pizza is coming up on its five-year anniversary. Owner and Atlanta native Rob Birdsong opened its first location in July 2020 after returning from a decade in Brooklyn. He was inspired by New York pizza slice shops and aimed to bring the same convenience, quality and affordability to the Atlanta market. Aside from its now-closed location in Inner Voice Brewing, Glide Pizza has a spot inside StudioPlex in Old Fourth Ward.

What Now Atlanta spoke briefly with Birdsong, who declined to comment further at this time on the impending expansion.
