Goin Coastal over the weekend will close for good.

The seafood restaurant, at 1021 Virginia Avenue NE, announced the news on its Facebook page Monday.

November 3 will be Goin Coastal’s last day following an eight-year-run.

“We have loved serving this wonderful community for the past eight years and truly appreciate all of the special memories and friendships that were made,” according to the social media post.

“We hope to see you all this week for one last hurrah and to have the chance to personally thank you all for the support over the years.”

It’s unclear why the restaurant is closing or what will open in its place.

Neighboring business Paolo’s Ice Cream has been listed for sale.

Canton’s Goin Coastal, which first opened its doors in 2006, remains in business.

  • Truthfully, given the reviews I’ve heard from several friends, I’m shocked the restaurant stayed in business as long as it did. It’s a pipedream, but I wish they would bring back Rosebud or Noche in its place!
