Rahel Belfield, the owner of Grant Park Coffeehouse, has plans to open a second outpost.

Belfield Tuesday filed a permit application with City of Atlanta to buildout space at 760 Confederate Avenue SE for a new location of the coffee shop, almost exactly parallel to the original store, to the east of Zoo Atlanta.

The building where Grant Park Coffeeshop will be situated sat vacant until mid last year when Pellerin Real Estate acquired the property from Joel and Granot. Pellerin has been busy renovating the space and hunting down tenants to fill the building’s five “bays.”

Joining Grant Park Coffeeshop is a nail salon, Lark and Sparrow, according to 760 Confederate Avenue’s Facebook page. Two “bays” remain available as of late January.

  • I live right around the corner and pass this location almost daily. I’ve always hoped the building would be refurbished. It’s kind of an odd location for retail space, but I think a small locally owned coffee shop will fit right into the area. Looking forward!
