Great American Cookies, the franchise known for its cookie cakes and other sweet treats, is opening a new location in Smyrna.

The new store will be at 2750 Atlanta Road SE in suite 102. The store will host a grand opening ribbon-cutting on Oct. 14, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The first 100 kids will receive a free sugar cookie to decorate.

Great American Cookies was founded in 1977 in Atlanta, with a family chocolate chip cookie recipe that went back generations. The brand has grown to more than 370 locations across the U.S. and internationally.

In addition to customizable cookie cakes, the menu includes gourmet cookies, brownies and Double Doozies (a cookie sandwich with icing as the filling).

Great American Cookies is a FAT Brands company. Marble Slab Creamery, another FAT Brands company, will also be served at the new Smyrna location of Great American Cookies.
