Grecian Gyro is opening a Berkeley Park location.

The Greek restaurant will replace the now-shuttered Blue Coast Burrito, at 1700 Northside Dr. NW Suite B6, in the Berkeley Heights apartment complex.

Blue Coast closed its doors at the end of 2018 and was listed for lease through Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group.

Josovitz “just sold” the quick-service burrito joint to the Grecian Gyro team, according to an announcement Friday.

The sale price was not disclosed.

The 2,300-square-foot space has seating inside for 65 and a 30-seat patio.

Grecian Gyro, founded by Nick Koulouris more than 35 years ago, is co-owned and operated by his son George Koulouris.

“We have been searching for a great in-town location,” Koulouris in an email told What Now Atlanta.

“I live in West Midtown and have watched the neighborhood flourish over the years. West midtown’s restaurant scene is the hottest in Atlanta, and yet there’s no Greek. We saw this as an opportunity to meet a need in the neighborhood while also achieving one of our goals.”

The company is looking to open the new location in late-spring, 2019.

At the end of 2018, the company opened an outpost in Snellville, Grecian Gyro’s sixth location.
