Handlebar, a new “neighborhood watering hole,” is coming soon to Old Fourth Ward.

Adonay “Bob” Constanza, the owner of Edgewood Pizza, is behind the new bar, at 476 Edgewood Avenue.

The corner space, which sits across the street of the ever-popular Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium, is currently under construction.

Constanza, when reached via telephone by What Now Atlanta (WNA) Thursday, was unavailable to comment on his plans for Handlebar.

476 Edgewood Avenue, now owned by Asana Partnersthe Charlotte-based real estate firm that’s buying up all of Atlanta—at one point was to be home to Bad Dog Taqueria.

When that deal fell through because of Owner Tracy Mitchell’s legal troubles, Bantam Pub Owner Tim Lance had claims to the space with plans to open “The Boulevard.”

It’s unclear why The Boulevard never got off the ground but Lance is still opening his Big Game restaurant nearby.

Handlebar isn’t the only new business Constanza will debut this year.

The restauranteur is bringing Edgewood Pizza to West End.
