Honeysuckle Gelato has inked a deal for the Lulah Hills development under construction in Decatur, according to a recent release sent to What Now Atlanta. It will open in Q1 of 2027 along with the first wave of retail tenants.
Honeysuckle Gelato, launched as a food truck in 2011 by Jackson Smith, Wes Jones and Khatera Ballard, currently has six locations across Georgia and North Carolina. Existing Georgia locations include Ponce City Market, a spot in Fayetteville and a location at Lee + White. It is also slated to join the forthcoming Upper West Market this spring.
The brand serves gelato and sorbet with flavors such as birthday cake, cinnamon roll and salted caramel brownie. They also offer baked goods such as cookies and gelato sandwiches and some beverages such as milkshakes.
What Now Atlanta has reached out to the ownership team for additional details on the expansion to Lulah Hills.
Honeysuckle Gelato will join Refuge Coffee Co. — slated to open at the development this spring — as well as Firepit Pizza Tavern and Anthropologie.
