UPDATE (February 4, 2015): Cypress Street Team To Open Restaurant In Invesco Building

The end-of-the-year restaurant death toll in Atlanta is piling up.

Neighboring businesses LPC (formerly La Pietra Cucina) and Joli Kobe Bakery in Midtown’s Invesco Building, at 1555 Peachtree Street, both quietly shuttered over the holidays.

LPC announced its closure on its Facebook page of 704 fans in mid-December.

“Friends, Atlantans, countrymen, lend us your ear,” LPC posted to the social media site. “It is with great sadness that we announce that we are closing our doors for business here at LPC… It’s been a wonderful and delicious ride. Ciao!”

Joli sent an email to its patrons at the end of last month.

“We are very grateful to our many friends and loyal customers who had supported us since August of 2008, as well as the many organizations and vendors who also supported us throughout the year,” according to the email.

Joli’s flagship location in Sandy Springs’ The Prado also closed for business, the email mentioned.

No word on what will replace the Midtown businesses.
