Joella’s Hot Chicken Cumberland—First of Four Planned Locally—To Open Sept. 6

First 100 people in line will receive free hot chicken for a year, a $50,000 combined value.

Joella’s Hot Chicken, a Louisville-based, fast-casual restaurant featuring hot chicken and made-from-scratch sides, will open its first Georgia location on Friday, September 6, in Cumberland at 2955 Cobb Pkwy SE, near SunTrust Park.

Occupying 1,312 square feet, Joella’s Cumberland location will offer an indoor dining space complete with booths and access to TVs throughout, in addition to a covered outdoor patio and drive thru.

Joella’s on opening will give away nearly $50,000 in free chicken meals to the first 100 people in line next Friday (52 coupons per person.)

The year-supply giveaway is available to anyone 18 years and older (with identification) starting at 8 a.m.

Guests are invited to form a line up to 24 hours prior to the restaurant’s opening.

Beginning at 4:30 a.m. Joella’s will have live entertainment from Sapid Music, coffee provided by Rev Coffee Roasters, games, complimentary Chicken and Waffles, and swag.

Following the Grand Opening, Joella’s will feature daily specials, including:

  • Monday, Sept. 9: Free Jumbo Tender* 
  • Tuesday, Sept. 10: Kids Eat Free All Day* 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 11: Free Extra Southern Side* 
  • Thursday, Sept. 12: Lunch Special All Day – 2 Jumbo Tenders, 1 Southern Side, 1 Dippin’ Sauce and 1 Drink for $7.99
  • Friday, Sept. 13 – Custom Joella’s Louisville Slugger Giveaway

*With purchase of any Chicken Plate, Big Sammie or Fresh Salad

This is the ninth location to open for the Louisville-based fast-casual dining chain, with plans to open additional locations throughout Georgia and Florida this fall. 

Joella’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
