Sean Chang, owner of Mukja Korean Fried Chicken, announced the closure of the restaurant earlier this week. Through the restaurant’s Instagram, he thanked the community for their support of the restaurant. He writes, “Thank you to everyone who believed in Mukja and supported us til the end. An absolute privilege to have served and learned everything about restaurants from ya’ll.”

The post continues to talk about his health struggles, which have led to this decision. Talking about recovery, he adds, “I do have some good days, but majority of the month is a struggle and I’m tired of having to give 110% to even function normally. Being disabled is difficult enough, but having an injury with subsiding pain and problems makes it so much more difficult to continue.”

Apologizing to the community for the short notice, he also thanks them for their support. Meanwhile, the comment section is filled with supportive comments wishing him a speedy recovery.
