A third Georgia location of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is underway in West Midtown.

According to a building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta, the sushi restaurant is planned for 1042 Northside Drive NW.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has two existing locations in Georgia – Buford and Doraville. The Japanese restaurant serves handmade sushi and sides on a conveyer belt.

The concept was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Kura Sushi, Inc. The company now has hundreds of locations across Japan, Taiwan and the United States, with about 50 in the U.S., plus more on the way. Several representatives with the brand were not immediately available when contacted for comment on the upcoming Atlanta outpost.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar was among the tenants announced for phase 2 of The Interlock mixed-use development project last year.

Documents show that Starbucks and Wagyu House have also been moving forward at the property.
