Landry’s, Inc. is switching out one of its restaurant concepts in The Center in downtown for another concept in its portfolio. Mastro’s Ocean Club will take over the McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steakhouse space at 190 Marietta St. NW, according to Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta

While McCormick & Schmick’s remains open for now, Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta reports that the new Mastro’s Ocean Club will likely target an opening in the 7,000-square-foot ground-floor space by next June.

Mastro’s has locations in cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Miami. This would be the first spot for the brand within Georgia.

The spot is known for sophisticated dining, live entertainment and elegant atmosphere. The menu features seafood like oysters, caviar, sushi, Chilean sea bass, Alaskan halibut and bigeye tuna. Steak options include dry aged bone-in ribeye, New York strip and porterhouse. Other meat options include a rack of lamb and herb-roasted chicken.

While McCormick and Schmick’s also places an emphasis on seafood and steak, it is a less upscale concept than Mastro’s. While McCormick and Schmick’s hovered largely in the $50 and below price range, the Mastro’s menu features a higher price point for most dishes.

The shuffle comes as Landry’s reevaluates multiple sites in Atlanta. Earlier this summer, it shuttered The Oceanaire Seafood Room to make way for fellow Landry’s concept Dos Caminos. Vice president and COO of Landry’s Restaurants Scott Marshall told What Now Atlanta at the time that shuffling concepts is not unusual for Landry’s, as they constantly reevaluate sites to see if a concept is doing well or if the location needs a refresh.

“We take advantage of finding a great location or a great concept, or taking an old concept and making it into a new concept,” Marshall said in a previous interview.
