Students living in Midtown could have another late-night food option at their fingertips.

Night Owl Pizza is planned for 708 Spring Street NW, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The take-out pizza spot would be going into a 1,700-square-foot space located on the ground floor of student housing apartment complex The Standard.

Night Owl Pizza currently has two locations – one in Marietta at 1995 Windy Hill Road SE and one in Kennesaw at 1200 Ernest W Barrett Parkway NW. The eatery is open until 3 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday, offering delivery and take-out long after many other restaurants have closed for the night.

Night Owl Pizza first opened in 2008. The menu includes New York-style pizza in varieties like Hawaiian, vegetarian, buffalo chicken and more. Calzones, stromboli, baked ziti, lasagna and garlic knots are also served.

“Whether it’s our sauce, toppings, and our original fresh dough, we invest in our ingredients to ensure that we always give you the finest quality pizza,” according to the company website.

  • Look like this location has been at least 3 other pizza restaurants since The Standard apartment complex was completed. Crazy Dough’s Pizza,
Knuckies Pizza and Hoagies, and most recently Shine Pizza. It’s not clear if these businesses are related and have gone through a series of same changes or if this location just can’t sustain a pizza shop.

  • If that photo is an “official” photo from Night Owl, they are clearly not putting their best foot forward. HUGE crust. Light on everything else. Too many other options!
