Vivian Lee, the chef behind Foodcation Forever, is in the process of opening up her own sandwich and pastry shop. Set to be located in the upcoming Avondale Estates mixed-use development Olive and Pine, Lee plans on cultivating a space in which the neighborhood can gather.

As first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lee envisions a future for her business that works within the community. Lee’s goal is to create an ambiance that provides familiarity for its customers.

Alongside the restaurant aspect, Lee plans on integrating a system of pop-ups where local chefs would be able to showcase their skills and manage their business on a small scale.

Leftie Lee’s is set to have a limited indoor dining space. However, according to the Olive and Pine website, additional seating will be spread out throughout the complex.

The menu will mainly focus on internationally inspired sandwiches and baked goods such as a Korean barbecue sandwich with scallion slaw.

Chef Lee plans on combining her skills in both pastry and baking and using those to kickstart her career “within the savory aspect of fine cooking,” according to Lee’s LinkedIn.

Reported by the Olive and Pine website, the location is slated to be open in the early months of 2022 at 6 Olive St.
