Spuds and songs are the main focus of a brand new restaurant on its way to Atlanta. The Loaded Potato Bar is planned for 4338 Paces Ferry Road SE, Owner Ashly Tate confirmed with What Now Atlanta, saying the opening is tentatively slated for October 10.
Tate is the songwriter and hip-hop artist behind Passhon, and as such, is incorporating music into Loaded Potato Bar. The menu offers several references to famous hip-hop artists, such as Biggie Smalls with the Biggie Potato and Tupac Shakur, with The Pac Potato which features a roasted potato stuffed with lobster and a lemon-butter sauce as well as asparagus. There is also a vegan option, called the Nipsey Potato, with a sweet potato stuffed with portobello mushrooms, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, pico de gallo, and guacamole, named in tribute to Nipsey Hussle.
This will be Tate’s first brick-and-mortar, but she has her sights set on expanding through franchising, though no specific neighborhoods are yet on the table. Loaded Potato Bar’s first outpost in the heart of Vinings replaces a CamiCakes.
I’m all about a good loaded potato!
The one in that photo looks nasty though– what is it topped with, skrimps and Cheez Whiz?
This place rocks.
