A local bakery and deli is continuing to expand.
Henri’s Bakery & Deli is expected to open this summer at Piedmont Park. The 800-square-foot walk-up space will be located near the tennis courts and Atlanta Botanical Garden.
“I cannot think of a better way for two iconic Atlanta destinations to come together,” Henri’s President Anthony DiNardo said in a statement. “Henri’s is always exploring new ways to offer convenient meal options and memorable experiences to a wider audience. This unique opportunity allows us to do exactly that.”
The brand’s announcement of their upcoming seventh location comes on the heels of the opening of their newest location in Clayton. Henri’s can also be found in Buckhead, Atlanta’s Upper Westside, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs and Peachtree Corners.
Henri Fiscus established Henri’s Bakery in 1929. Born in France, Fiscus came to Atlanta in the 1920s, where he worked as a pastry chef at the Biltmore Hotel. He went on to purchase a bakery in Midtown that would become the original location of Henri’s Bakery.
The upcoming location at Piedmont Park will operate on a seasonal schedule to match the pool and park hours.
“Henri’s at Piedmont Park will feature many of our traditional favorites – including coffee, breakfast sandwiches, soups, pastries and cookies,” Henri’s Chief Operating Officer Joel Keller said in a statement. “We’ll also offer new concessions, like frozen treats, to please our guests in this outdoor setting.”
They are targeting a June opening for the new location, just in time for summer.
