A local brand known for juices, smoothies and other healthy eats could be working on a new location.

According to a recent building permit application with the City of Atlanta, an interior buildout for a “mercantile restaurant” is proposed for a space at 1334 Boulevard SE. The owner is listed as Arden’s Garden.

Arden’s Garden was founded in 1995 by the late Arden Zinn, whose daughter Leslie Zinn now leads the company. Arden Zinn was always a prominent figure in the local wellness space, known as “Atlanta’s first lady of fitness.” She operated several fitness centers before expanding into juicing and smoothies.

Arden’s Garden currently has 17 locations in Georgia, mostly in metro Atlanta, including a newly opened one on Old National Highway.

In addition to cold-pressed juices and smoothies, the stores offer nutritious wraps, bowls, soups and grab-and-go snacks. Arden’s Garden products can be found in grocery stores like Whole Foods, Publix, Kroger, Walmart and Sprouts.

The space for the new Atlanta location is 1,600 square feet, according to the building permit application. It was formerly occupied by a bakery called Sweets By MJB. The property is just east of Chosewood Park.

Officials from Arden’s Garden could not immediately be reached for more information about plans for the potential new location.
