A local neighborhood grill and bar is expanding with a new location.

Friends American Grill is expected to open next month in Commerce at 1671 S. Elm Street.

Ray Stanjevich and Suzanne Cartwright started Friends American Grill in 2010. This will be the ninth location of the restaurant, which can also be found in Buford, Cumming, Clayton, Dacula, Dawsonville, Bethlehem, Winder and Jefferson.

Friends American Grill is a “great place for excellent food and service, families, and sports,” according to the website.

The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, wraps, wings in a range of flavors, and more, along with a full bar. The upcoming location in Commerce will feature a revamped menu with new items like blackened mahi mahi tacos and balsamic glazed pork chops. There are also several vegetarian and gluten-free options.
