Gourmet grocery store Lucy’s Market is preparing to expand. The Andrews Square market, which sells everything from bath essentials and books to fresh produce and wine, will begin construction in July, and is expected to complete construction by the end of the summer.

“It’s all very exciting,” says owner Kim Wilson, who founded the market in 2009. Lucy’s Market prides itself on sourcing only the best produce Atlanta has to offer, and serves as a one-stop-shop for customers who are looking to grocery shop, have a prepared meal, or browse for gifts.

According to PR representative Sarah Slaughter, Lucy’s Market is expanding to “accommodate its customer growth and to be able to offer its market needs.” For now, we don’t have many details about how, exactly, the marketplace plans to utilize the expansion, but we do know that the market plans to remain open throughout the $95,000 construction project.

Slaughter told What Now Atlanta that more details are on the way, so stay tuned for an update. And in the meantime, head to Lucy’s Market for some fresh summer produce (and while you’re at it, throw in a bottle of wine).
