Cocktail bar Mambo Zombi is preparing to move.

The spooky bar, which co-owners Johnny Martinez, Brandon Ley and Kysha Cyrus opened in 2022, is leaving Edgewood at the end of the month. Mambo Zombi’s last day of service in its current location will be Sept. 28.

“We’ve always known that one day we’d have to move after the Georgia Beer Garden building sold, and now, that day has come,” the team announced on the Mambo Zombi Instagram page. “We absolutely love Edgewood. This is where Mambo started, where so many of you found us for the first time, and where we built a community we will always cherish. Saying goodbye to this block is not easy.”

Though the end of its Edgewood era is bittersweet, the bar will not be leaving the Atlanta scene. The team has inked a lease at East Atlanta Village and plans to relocate the concept there. They do not have an exact opening timeline yet, and an exact location for the forthcoming spot in East Atlanta Village is still to be announced.

Customers can keep an eye on their Instagram page for further updates as they near an opening in their new location.

“Thank you for loving Mambo on Edgewood as much as we have,” the team stated in its announcement. “We can’t wait to show you what’s next.”
