The Sandy Springs steakhouse will shutter after dinner service Saturday.

UPDATE (June 12, 2017): Mandolin, a Mediterranean Concept, to Replace Maya in Sandy Springs

Maya Steaks and Seafood will close its doors for good Saturday, June 3 after dinner service, a company spokesperson Friday told What Now Atlanta in an email.

The news has also been posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“Thank you to all for your continued support of Maya Steaks and Seafood,” Mimmo Alboumeh, the restaurant’s chef and owner said in a prepared statement.

“After two and a half wonderful years in Sandy Springs, we hope you will join us tomorrow, Saturday, June 3, 2017, for our final dinner service.”

Maya Steaks and Seafood first opened in January 2015 offering Sandy Springs a steakhouse with “Mediterranean flair.”

“We have had a great run here in Sandy Springs and have future plans within the community,” Alboumeh said.

“In the meantime, we hope you will visit us at our sister restaurant concept, Red Pepper Taqueria, with two locations in the heart of Buckhead and in Decatur on Briarcliff Road.”

No word on what will take the resatruant’s place.
