UPDATE (May 18, 2018): McAlister’s Deli Breaks Ground On New Prototype in West Midtown Center
McAlister’s Deli, a chain of fast-casual restaurants, has made plans to open its first Atlanta location.
The restaurant will be built from the ground up in Fuqua’s forthcoming West Midtown Center development, at 1299 Northside Drive, according to permits filed with the City of Atlanta.
Fuqua ahead of the permit filing had not yet confirmed McAlister’s Deli for the project but rumors that the restaurant was on the tenant roster have been circulating for months.
An estimated $646,000 will be spent constructing the 3,351-square-foot building 500 for the new McAlister’s Deli.
The restaurant offers a whopping 100-item menu of eats like sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts.
It’s unclear who the franchisee is for the soon-to-be-constructed in-town location.
Fuqua’s leasing team did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
McAlister’s Deli will join Blaze Pizza, Chipotle, Zaxby’s, and a giant self-storage facility in the Kroger-anchored mixed-use development.
In Georgia, the chain has locations in Augusta, Columbus, Grovetown, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Macon, Pooler, Roswell, and Statesboro, according to the restaurant’s website.
There is a Mcalister’s Deli in Roswell. It’s been there for years.
