A Mediterranean franchise continues to grow in metro Atlanta.

PITA Mediterranean Street Food is planned for a 526-square-foot space in Snellville at 2265 Wisteria Drive SW.

There are currently 35 locations of PITA Mediterranean Street Food in the Southeast, with more on the way. The menu includes a variety of street pitas, including shawarma, grilled chicken, falafel, seafood and more. They also serve platters, bowls, salads and loaded fries. Customers can finish with something sweet, like baklava cheesecake.

According to the restaurant website, the company launched with the vision of sharing “the warmth, hospitality, and health benefits of the Mediterranean lifestyle.”

“We’re committed to using only the highest quality ingredients- including Lebanese extra virgin olive oil, certified Halal meats, fresh local vegetables, and authentic imported spices,” according to the website, which also notes they have plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus a kid’s menu.

Owner Ahman Alsalman said they are targeting a late July 2025 opening for the new location.

The restaurant appears to be planned for the The Grove at Towne Center, a large mixed-use project in Snellville. As previously reported by What Now Atlanta, Crooked Can Brewing Company is also in the works at the development.
