Meehan’s Public House is no longer open for business in Atlantic Station, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution (AJC).

The Irish pub closed its doors for good after dinner service Wednesday, September 11, at 232 19th Street NW.

Meehan’s, a 101 Concepts restaurant, has been situated in Atlantic Station since 2012.

It is the second location of the Irish pub to close in recent years following the departure of Meehan’s Buckhead in 2018.

Chef Ron Eyester, a newish addition to the 101 Concepts team, told the AJC ongoing construction at Atlantic Station under Developer Hines ultimately led to Meehan’s demise in the mixed-use development.

“Construction has been absolutely debilitating,” Eyester told the AJC.

That construction, ongoing since 2018, includes a complete redo of the center’s central green space, located directly outside the front door of Meehan’s.

“Atlantic Station is undergoing a major transformation to better serve our visitors, including a renovated park, enhanced concierge services, and the addition of events space, new retailers and experiential tenants,” according to a statement from Hines shared with What Now Atlanta via email.

“Throughout construction, we have been working with all of our tenants to address any issues that arise. We expect Meehan’s to reopen soon and continue providing quality service to its customers.”
