Two experienced restaurant operators are working on a new concept in eastern Georgia.

Shawn and Katy Ledford make up the team behind Towne Center Tavern, planned for 7025 Evans Town Center Boulevard in Evans.

The casual, family-dining restaurant is expected to open late December 2024 or early January 2025. It will have an outdoor patio in addition to indoor seating.

Towne Center Tavern will be located at the Meybohm Building, a mixed-use structure that’s part of The Plaza at Evans Towne Center. The space was formerly occupied by Stay Social Tap and Table, a tapas restaurant and bar that closed in 2022.

Towne Center Tavern won’t be the Ledfords’ first foray into the food-and-beverage business; they have owned several Mellow Mushroom restaurants.
