Brett Holtzclaw, the owner of Tiki Iniki and parent company Supper Club Restaurant Group, is opening Memphis Smokehouse in the Berkeley Park neighborhood of Atlanta.

The barbecue joint, currently seeking its liquor license, will be situated in The District at Howell Mill, a WalMart-anchored shopping center adjacent I-75.

Memphis Smokehouse—referred to as Memphis Supper Club in some places including the URL for the restaurant’s website—will replace Central City Tavern in Suite 400 next door to La Parrilla, at 1801 Howell Mill Road NW.

Details for the forthcoming smokehouse are scarce.

Its partially-completed website indicates Memphis Smokehouse will serve lunch, dinner, and a “late-night” menu.

Expect “Memphis BBQ at its best” and “with a little Egypt thrown in,” according to the under-development webpage.

Holtzclaw on Tuesday did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
