The team behind Miller Union is cooking up something new in Poncey-Highland.

Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy, along with Dive Wine founder Tim Willard, are working on a new wine bar and restaurant called Madeira Park.

The new concept is set to take over a space on North Highland Avenue at Otto’s Apartment Hotel, Rough Draft Atlanta first reported. Otto’s Apartment Hotel, formerly the Highland Inn, is a new boutique hotel and apartment community about a mile from Ponce City Market.

Madeira Park has been several years in the making, with the concept gaining momentum this year when McCarthy learned that the space was available, according to the news outlet.

A large indoor bar is set to anchor the restaurant, which will also include different seating options, including on a front patio. The menu will include vegetable-focused dishes and shareable options, like charcuterie. Wine will be available by the glass or by the bottle. Expect some sweet treats as well.

Madeira Park is expected to open in late 2024, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The restaurant will join several nearby food-and-beverage concepts, including Colette Bread and Bakeshop and an upcoming location of the soft-serve ice cream shop Big Softie.

Satterfield and McCarthy opened Miller Union in 2009 on Atlanta’s Westside. The highly acclaimed, seasonally driven restaurant offers “an authentic approach to farmstead-inspired cooking.” Satterfield has also authored several cookbooks.
