New Bar and Lounge Coming to Edgewood Avenue

New Sports Bar and Lounge Coming to Edgewood Avenue

A new sports bar and lounge is in the works on Edgewood Avenue.

Iconz Atlanta Sports Bar & Lounge is planned for 447 Edgewood Avenue SE. The two-story venue will feature an upstairs lounge area where patrons can enjoy music and games, along with beverages and bar food. Think fried favorites, wings and shrimp, plus heartier dishes like salmon pasta and lamb chops. The venue is nearly 1,400 square feet and will include space for about 12 tables.

“We want to bring a new light to Edgewood,” owner Gilbert Smith, Jr. said. “I want people to feel comfortable coming in.”

Smith has worked in the nightlife scene for more than 20 years, including with the former Mansion Elan in Chamblee.

Iconz Atlanta Sports Bar & Lounge is set to go before the City of Atlanta’s License Review Board for its liquor license next week. They are targeting an early December opening.
