UPDATE (August 2, 2018): Ben & Jerry’s Inman Park To Grand Open August 4

The densely-packed stretch of North Highland Ave. in Inman Park just steps away from the BeltLine will soon be home to a well-known name in the food industry. A new Ben & Jerry’s franchise will open at 312 North Highland, replacing men’s clothing store Tough Boot Co, according to franchise owner Phillip Scotton.

Scotton this week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to convert the 1,125-square-foot retail space into the ice cream shop.

An estimated $93,468 will be spent on construction including mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.

Scotton shared a target opening date in the second quarter of 2018, with hopes to open in April if all goes according to plan.

While Ben & Jerry’s certainly offers name recognition, it will face stiff competition in the area.

King of Pops operates a brick and mortar popsicle window nearby and Voga Italian Gelato is located just around the corner in the Inman Quarter development.

Additionally, Queen of Cream is just down North Highland Ave. and Jake’s Ice Cream is further down the BeltLine on Irwin St.
