The people of Buckhead might soon be able to eat more chicken, with a new location of Chick-fil-A moving forward near a busy intersection.

The fast-food restaurant is planned for 3234 Peachtree Road NE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The building would be nearly 5,000 square feet, a pretty typical size for a Chick-fil-A.

The estimated cost of construction on the restaurant is $1,250,000, according to the application.

The restaurant would replace a closed David’s Bridal. The site is located near the intersection of Peachtree and Piedmont roads, adjacent to the high-rise apartment building The Tower on Piedmont. The area is just down the street from another location of the chicken chain, at the Terminus building.

Early plans about the proposed Chick-fil-A indicated that the restaurant would include some parking but no drive-thru.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Chick-fil-A has more than 3,000 locations in 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada. The menu includes the brand’s classic chicken sandwiches with pickles, as well as nuggets, waffle fries, salads, shakes and more.

The chain has several other locations in the works in the Peach State, including in Snellville, Dacula and Fairburn.
