A new take-out Mexican restaurant is planned for southwest Atlanta.

Mexi Melt is in the works for 2740 Greenbriar Parkway SW, according to a building permit application. The scope of work includes a new kitchen and serving/waiting space. The bathroom will also be redesigned, and a new grease trap will be installed.

Mexi Melt LLC was created in April 2023, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

Boost Mobile was formerly located in the 950-square-foot space in Greenbriar Village. The shopping center includes Piercing Euphoria and a chiropractor clinic.

LB Designs, an architecture firm based in College Park, is designing the space, and Atlanta-based Cavali Design and Build is constructing it, according to documents.

It’s not clear yet what the menu of Mexi Melt will be like, or when the restaurant will be open. The listed owner for the restaurant could not immediately be reached for comment.
