A new Jamaican concept is under construction in Suwanee.

Peppaz Island Grill is a family-owned restaurant that will serve a variety of fresh, authentic dishes with Jamaican flavors.

“At Peppaz Island Grill, we pride ourselves on using the freshest local sourced ingredients and traditional recipes passed down through generations,” according to the website. “From the smoky, spiced jerk chicken to the succulent jerk pork, every dish is a celebration of Jamaica’s diverse and flavorful culinary landscape.”

The current menu includes beef, chicken and veggie Jamaican patties; bowls with chicken, pork, lamb chops and seafood; and sides like fried plantains, fries, and rice and peas.

The restaurant is planned for a new commercial building on McGinnis Ferry Road. A Circle K gas station and convenience store is also located at the property.

Peppaz Island Grill is expected to open in November.
