A new Jamaican restaurant is in the works in Atlanta.

Kingston Spice Cuisine is planning an eatery at 1929 Piedmont Circle NE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta.

The business will be a “Jamaican-style restaurant that will have a complete commercial kitchen buildout with ADA certified restroom, dining room and a full service bar.” The documents indicate that outdoor dining is also planned for the front of the restaurant.

It appears that the venture comes from the team behind Kingston’s Caribbean Restaurant, a takeout eatery in Decatur at 2100 Candler Road serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes oxtail, jerk chicken, rasta pasta, wings, sandwiches, seafood and much more.

Ownership for the restaurant could not immediately be reached for more information, but social media posts indicate that Kingston Spice Cuisine is expected to open this summer. It will be located off Piedmont Road, across the street from Midtown Bowl and next to Tripp’s Bar.

Kingston’s Spice Cuisine LLC was first created in August 2020, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
