A fast-casual health food franchise is expanding with a new location northeast of Atlanta.
Mahana Fresh is planned for 6323 Grand Hickory Drive in Braselton, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County.
The menu features build-your-own bowls with a choice of different bases, veggies and proteins – and plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. Signature items include the Island Bliss Bowl (kale crunch salad, buffalo cauliflower, honey sriracha brussels sprouts, key west chicken, citrus ginger sauce), the Veggie Vacay Bowl (coconut rice, sesame ginger broccoli, roasted mushrooms, sesame garlic tofu, coconut sweet potato sauce) and more. The menu also includes gluten-free desserts like zucchini brownies and chocolate chip cookies.
Franchisee Bhavin Patel told What Now Atlanta the restaurant is expected to be open in February 2025.
Dave Wood founded Mahana Fresh in 2019. This will be the second location in Georgia; the first opened in Sandy Springs on Johnson Ferry Road in 2023. There are a total of 10 locations of the Florida-based brand across nine states.
The upcoming Braselton location would be located at Mulberry Walk, a shopping center with an existing restaurant lineup of Wayback Burgers, Hit’s Tap Room and Marble Slab Creamery/Great American Cookie.
The new Mahana Fresh will be about 1,600 square feet, in a space formerly occupied by the now-closed Tom Henry’s BBQ.
