New Restaurant, SoCu Prime, is Coming Soon to Edgewood Ave

Chef Erica Barrett will open the steakhouse in February 2022.

Atlanta chef, Erica Barrett, both founder and CEO of Southern Culture Artisan Foods, is opening up her first steakhouse restaurant, according to an official post on her Instagram. Barrett is also known for her television appearance on “ABC’s Shark Tank.”

First reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, this steakhouse named SoCu Prime is set to open in February of 2022. SoCu Prime will be located at 521 Edgewood Ave SE, in a 6,756 sq ft restaurant space, according to a previous lease listing for the building. Barrett has shared via social media that the upcoming restaurant will serve both steak and seafood. However, specific menu items have not been released.

Alongside this project, Barrett also seems to be expanding her other business, SOCU Kitchen & Oyster Bar, based in Mobile, Alabama. SOCU is a southern kitchen-styled restaurant featuring dishes such as Braised Beef Oxtails, Shrimp and Grits, and three styles of oysters. An official post on the restaurant’s Instagram shares that a location for SOCU is coming soon to Birmingham, Alabama.
