UPDATE (July 13, 2018): Newk’s Eatery Howell Mill Square To Open July 31
Kroger-anchored Howell Mill Square shopping center will soon be home to Newk’s Eatery.
Plans to renovate two tenant suites for the fast-casual restaurant in Howell Mill Square, at 1715 Howell Mill Road, this week were filed with the City of Atlanta.
The restaurant has since been added to the shopping center’s site plan.
Newk’s Eatery will occupy suite D 23 and 24—formerly home to Mama Niki’s Pizza—for a total of 5,125 square feet.
Interior and exterior renovations to the spaces are expected to cost $650,000.
At Howell Mill Square, Newk’s joins existing restaurant tenants American Deli, Chin Chin, and Subway.
Inside the perimeter, the restaurant has locations in Midtown, Town Brookhaven, and North Druid Hills.
So why didn’t Kroger end up expanding? I thought that’s why they moved Chin Chin to the other side and Mama Niki’s is closing.
