A cake franchise is sweetening up a new development in Sharpsburg.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is planned for Fischer Marketplace, according to construction documents. The takeout cake shop will be located in a 1,800-square-foot space at the upcoming Publix-anchored development. Renderings indicate plans for a “Bring the joy” sign to adorn the wall.

Experienced franchisee Missy Moon is listed as the owner of the new location. In addition to other Nothing Bundt Cakes locations in metro Atlanta, Moon is also a franchisee of Super Chix.

Nothing Bundt Cakes was founded in 1997 and has since grown to more than 500 corporate and franchise locations. According to the company, more than 90 percent of the locations are woman-owned. The shops sell bundt cakes in a variety of sizes and flavors, including red velvet, confetti and lemon.

The Fischer Marketplace site is at the corner of Fischer Road and State Route 34. Local health food spot gusto! is also set to join the development.
